Who We Are
The Wisconsin Active Threat Training Association was established in 2024 to ensure that there is a strong commitment to Active Threat training and preparedness in Wisconsin. We host a conference each year in February and we support and host additional training opportunities throughout the year.
Our Mission
To provide high quality, accessible active threat prevention and response training to Wisconsin first responders. This training will focus on those tactics, techniques, procedures and general best practices for both individual and agency active threat response.
For 10 years, WATTA has brought people together around one mission: saving lives through preparation. In 2027, we’re asking you to lean in like never before. Show up ready to learn, ready to challenge what can be better, and ready to take action when you return home. You are the person who can save lives. You can train better. You can find the equipment. You can strengthen relationships. You can influence other responders to prepare with greater purpose. That idea you’ve been talking about, that training you’ve wanted to build, that change you’ve been trying to make, maybe this is the year you stop waiting for someone else to make it happen.
